Welcoming a baby into the world is a cause for celebration and a gathering of family and friends. Giving baby their name at a ceremony is a favourite way of marking this special occasion. However you may prefer not to have the formalities of a religious service. But that doesn’t mean there can’t be a ceremony.
Special promises can be made by parents and grandparents and special family members and friends can make their own individual promises, much the same way as traditional Godparents would.
